Student Council

LCHSA Student Council membership is open to LCHSA member students from sixth grade to twelfth grade. The purpose of the Student Council is to involve the studnets in developing creative ideas to enhance excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities for the secondary age level home school student, help students develop leadership capabilities and develop good citizenship skills.
Past Student Council activites included passing a formal set of by-laws; electing and training sets of officers of the fall and spring terms; building a float for the local Christmas parade; holding a formal banquet and part; organizing field trips and having recreational activities such as a pizza party, move, bowling and a luau.
The LCHSA Student Council has an ongoing invitation for our eleventh-grade students to participate in the Girl's State and Boy's State program and scholarship opportunities.
Future
projects include journalism in the form of a student newspaper and annual
statff,
and an educational trip.
